Frequently Asked Questions

Comprehensive Answers

I’ve compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received over my career. It’s normal and encouraged for patients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a licensed therapist. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please get in touch.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?

Individual therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes each. The frequency of sessions is typically weekly or biweekly.

DBT Group sessions are approx. 90 min every Wednesday at 5:30pm.

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST?

It depends! There is no set period of time that all clients will receive treatment. The length of treatment depends on each individual client's treatment goals and client preference. Outpatient therapy is entirely voluntary - you have no obligation to stay for set period of time.

WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?

My office hours vary Monday through Thursday. Please inquire using the contact form regarding my current availability.

ARE SESSIONS IN PERSON OR TELEHEALTH?

All sessions are through telehealth video conferencing. A private and secure zoom link will be sent following the confirmation of sessions. Though I am conducting sessions via zoom, all clients MUST be present in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey due to licensing requirements.

At this time, there is no in-person office.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Yes! I am in network with Aetna, Cigna, United, and Optum. I am not a Medicare or Medicaid provider. Please see Insurance & Rates page for more info.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS?

Out-of-pocket pay is $140 per 50 minute session.

DO YOU HAVE SLIDING SCALE RATES?

Yes! I have a limited number of slots available for sliding scale rates based off of income level. Please contact me to inquire if any sliding scale slots are currently open.

GOOD FAITH ASSESSMENT

All individuals who are paying out of pocket or using OON benefits will be given a good faith estimate upon intake. The No Surprises Act requires all healthcare providers to provide their clients with a transparent understanding of what they should expect to be charged for scheduled services.
